The Egyptian Revolution - Where’s it Headed?

"Coulda seen that one coming." We've heard it from more than one person since the anti-Christian violence erupted recently in Egypt. This is undoubtedly a precarious time for the 10 million Christians of Egypt. Radical agitators are blaming the troubles of that nation on those who follow Christ. A time of renewed persecution seems at hand.

But it that the entire story? Norm's guests today, Drs. Heather Keaney and Jim Wright, have the inside story.

SAT-7 on the Egyptian Revolution, Pt. 2

If you were asked what was the most powerful media organization in the Middle East, how would you answer? Al Jazeera? Well a strong case could be made for SAT-7 - a satellite broadcast network that reaches over 40 countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Viewership is in the millions. There is no Christian media organization that has a more powerful presence and purpose throughout the Muslim-influenced world. Thousands upon thousands have committed their lives to Christ as a result of this singular outreach.

All of this amazing work has gone on unnoticed by much of the Western church, and that needs to change. Today, Norm concludes his conversation with Terry Ascot, Founder and President of SAT-7 as they discuss the impact Christian outreach is having on the  trans-formative events of the 'Arab Spring.'

SAT-7 on the Egyptian Revolution, Pt. 1

The 'Arab Spring' - will it go down in history as the dawning of a new age of freedom, or the first step toward an era of darkness? It depends on who joins the battle. It depends on what the battle actually is. Egypt is the nexus of this momentous movement, simply for being the crossroads of the Muslim world and the most populous country in the region.

It's important to remember this is not a 'Muslim' uprising, but it is a spiritual struggle. The Christian church in Egypt is millions-strong and right there in the thick of it. And, sadly, there are new martyrs on Heaven's wall of remembrance. But persecution doesn't diminish the church - it empowers it, as you'll hear today. Terry Ascot of SAT-7 Broadcasting joins Norm to explain how the believers of the Middle East are responding to the challenge.

Sharing Christ with Muslims: Have We Been Faithful?

No, we're not talking about standing on street corners handing out tracts in Arabic or Farsi. You'd be arrested for doing that in most countries of the Middle East at any rate. But there are ways of reaching out to Muslims with the transforming love of Christ - especially if you're a neighbor. Which leads to an interesting question: Who is a Muslim's neighbor?

Today, Norm and Cher explore the answer to that question.

Arabs in the Shadow of Israel

"If you prick us, do we not bleed?" So says the misunderstood Shakespearean character Shylock. The troubled Merchant of Venice also happened to be a Jew in a society suspicious of all things Jewish.

The same words are said today by the people living in the shadow of the modern Israel. The Arabs of the West Bank, many of them Christians, simply ask of us in the West that we notice their suffering. It's what Christ would do - and does today. Norm's guest, Tony Malouf, explains.
